River Severn Partnership Advanced Wireless Innovation Region

The River Severn Partnership Advanced Wireless Innovation Region (RSP AWIR) is a £3.75m initiative, wholly funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and managed by Shropshire Council on behalf of the River Severn Partnership.
The RSP AWIR project is an exciting initiative set to strengthen and elevate farming practices by showcasing the transformative potential of 5G and other advanced wireless technologies, aiming to boost efficiency, support sustainability and set new standards in modern agriculture and land-based industries.
In collaboration with Harper Adams University, Hartpury University will partner with farmers and landowners in the River Severn Partnership area to demonstrate the adaptation of advanced wireless technologies for crop monitoring, security maintenance, and energy regulation.
