Not from a farming family, Alex found her passion for the outdoors at 16 and has worked across both horticulture and agriculture. She studied her PhD in Variable Rate Application of Fungicides and during this time was a board member for the Institute of Agricultural Engineers. Alex has since worked for the Animal and Plant Health Agency, AHDB and taken a year out of industry to work as an analyst. She now works as Business Developer and Rural Business Consultant at DJM Consulting. Her passion is in investing in people, and she is an advocate for encouraging ex-armed forces personal into the land-based sector.
