Andrew Ward is a Lincolnshire arable farmer who farms 730ha. He has an in-depth knowledge of all arable crop and machinery costs leading to detailed cost of production analysis. He is regularly involved in knowledge transfer with many companies and anyone who requires a farmer's perspective in soil, machinery and cost management. Andrew was awarded the MBE in June 2014 for ‘Services to farming in England and Wales’. He launched and co-ordinatinated ‘Forage Aid’ in April 2013, sourcing free forage and delivery through generous donations, to help livestock farmers who had thousands of animals die due to a record amount of heavy snow.
