Jon grew up in rural Cambridgeshire and subsequently studied Agriculture at Harper Adams before joining Cargill Agricultural Merchants (now Frontier) as a graduate trainee.

Moving up the food chain he joined Hovis and enjoyed a number of commercial roles in both the milling and baking businesses before becoming of Sales & Marketing Director of Rank Hovis in 2003.

After 5 years on the Board of Rank Hovis Jon moved to Calor Gas as Sales & Marketing Director working across a wide range of industries which required ‘off-grid’ energy including agriculture hotels and leisure and domestic heating.

Returning to the food industry Jon was appointed Managing Director of Napier Brown, a sugar business supplying the UK food and drinks manufacturers as well as retailers under the Whitworth’s brand. With the deregulation of the Sugar Regime looming the sale of the business prompted a return to his roots and the agricultural supply sector and, after 2 years on the board of Agrii, Jon joined Agrovista as Commercial Director in 2017 managing a nationwide team of agronomists and it’s marketing team.

Jon lives in South Lincolnshire with his wife, 2 daughters and 2 labradors so is currently ranked a solid 6th in the family pecking order!
