Rob is a Policy Team Leader in Defra’s Farming and Countryside Programme. He leads on the development of actions for Sustainable Farming Incentive and Countryside Stewardship.

Rob grew up on his family dairy farm in Cheshire. He has worked within Defra group since 2002, with roles in the Rural Payments Agency and Natural England. He moved into the Farming and Countryside Programme in 2018 and uses his background in agriculture and delivery experience to inform policy design
