CropTec on schedule to be one of the only face-to-face agricultural events this year

With the current lockdown extended and so many summer events cancelled, the CropTec Show may be one of the few opportunities this year to attend a face-to-face agricultural event. The show takes place on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th November at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.

Show visitors value the one-on-one, face-to-face conversations they can have with exhibitors, says Gareth Jones, CropTec Event Manager. Many farmers come to the show looking for inspiration. Being up close and personal to whats new in ag science and technology provides the stimulation theyre seeking and the ability to remain agile in the ever-changing agricultural environment.

The CropTec Show comprises more than 170 exhibitors, together with over 30 expert speakers in a mixture of seminars and knowledge hubs, plus the chance to test drive some of the latest machinery.

Podcast

Alongside preparations for this years November show, the organisers are currently supporting farmers through their own use of technology.

As farmers continue to put food on our tables during this period of uncertainty, we are keeping them updated from the comfort of their self-isolating cabs, adds Nichola Bell, Marketing Lead for the CropTec Show. Our new Crop It Like Its Hot podcast gives growers access to the most recent developments and opinions from industry experts and farmers using a method appropriate to the present circumstances.

The podcast is a collaboration between Arable Farming magazine and the CropTec Show, hosted by Alice Dyer, journalist by day, farmer by night. The first episode is for those considering or using no-till techniques. Guests Philip Wright from Wright Resolutions and Paul Davey, a farmer managing 440ha of arable land across five farms in North Lincolnshire. They discuss what to expect, both good and bad, and provide some thought-provoking insights into the no-till experience. The podcast can be downloaded on Acast byclicking here or via Apple and Google.
